What can you tell me about troubleshooting my Yamaha that is hard to start?

First make sure the batterry is charged. If it starts and runs for a second then shuts off it is most likely a carb problem. Spray starter fluid into the carbs and see if it runs normal if it does it prob needs a carb clean. check for airleaks also.

The easiest thing you can do is do a tune up. Fresh gas, clean plugs, and a full battery make starting a lot easier. Also make sure the choke is working properly. Sometimes carb or ignition tuning may be needed.
