Can you help me with troubleshooting a Honda Passport?

It dies sometimes in traffic and is hard to start.

This sounds like a common problem along also with the Isuzu Rodeo. Usually when a vehicle dies it pertains to electrical issues. I would start trouble shooting on the ignition module. Also, look and see if there is a coil on your vehicle.

There are various reasons why your car could not start. 1. If you are using a manual car, always remember to slowly engage the clutch. Releasing the clutch too fast causes the car to die 2. Faulty spark plug? Try go to a service centre to have your engine or spark plug serviced.

Turn the ignition and if power tries to come tap the gas twice. The root cause of your car failure is probably due to an exposed wire in your engine.
