Should I cut off the dead leaves from squash plants?

Cutoff the dead leaves and discard them. Do not leave them in the bed since they can infect the soil.

yes, you should cut off and discard the dead leaves from squash plant. if not it ll affect other leaves too and if it fall on bed it will infect the soil. to maintain squash plants health balance you need to remove all dead leaves on plant and dead leaves on soil.

Squash plants can be left alone and they will do perfectly well, but if you cut off the dead leaves there is s good chance you will get more squash.

I think you should get a book about the plant, it should help you out to find out what you can do for the plant. Or go to a plant store and ask them, they would know how to care for the plant. Or you could look online to find out.
