Answer by  John (9008)

Urine can be tested for a wide variety of drugs. Cocaine does leave traces in urine, and these can be found if the right test is done. A routine drug test does generally check for cocaine, marijuana and opiates. About the only drug that doesn't generally show up on a urine screening is LSD.

While cocaine is metabolized in the body by several enzymes, about 5% pass through the kidneys unchanged. Hence, cocaine can be detected in a special urine dip-stick test from 3 hours up to 3 days after last use.
