It does not show up in a regular urine test. It does show up though in a Urine Toxicology screening. It usually stays in your system for ten days.

Methadone will show up on a urine toxicology screen, but not a urinalysis. You really need to know which one they are doing. Urinalysis looks for protein, blood, sugar etc, but not illicit drugs. Methadone will show up for weeks after you last take it because of its long half life.

A 15 mg dose of methadone stays in the urine for up to 24 hours. You excrete the dose gradually.

Methadone can be detected for up to 10 days from ingestion date. However, only certain tests screen for it. If you have a legal prescription for it, disclose it.

Methadone can stay detectable in your urine for at least a week, maybe even a few days longer if the drug has been used heavily. How fast a person's metabolism is can also affect how long it stays detectable in your body.
