Will neutering stop a puppy from marking his area?

I would like my puppy to stop this.

Crate train your puppy. Dogs will not soil the area where they have to sleep. There are lots of online sites and a number of good books on crate training and exactly how to use it to the benefit of both you and your dog.

In most cases this significantly reduces this behavior, however, it is not the cure all solution. Proper training and guidence will greatly help speed this proccess along. Once your pet knows right from wrong behavior, life will become much eaasier.

Yes, neutering a dog will cause him to stop this behavior. You can get him fixed at six months of age but if he's smaller sometimes it's best to wait a little longer. Neutering will cause your puppy to calm down a bit as well. It will also curb any humping habits a little bit.

Yes, nine times out of ten. Clean his formerly 'marked' areas thoroughly and when you see him headed to one of his 'areas' give him a stern 'NO!.
