A ten year old 5mg valium pill (tablet) does not degrade. It is stable when kept dry. If this were liquid valium it become toxic over time. All drugs do not degrade as we think. Valium must be kept in a tightly shut container. You should know that this drug is highly addictive.

It probably will, but it depends on how the pill was kept for last five years. It may test as just hydrogen and trace elements. However, if it was stored well, it'll test correctly.
