If you established US residency through marriage and you divorced, you will need to establish legal residency on your own by getting your own green card or becoming a citizen.

If you were married for 10 years and you applied for a green card, after 5 years of marriage you can apply for citizenship. So no, you shouldnt need a green card because you should now be a permanant citizen if you applied for citizenship/ green card while you were married.
