Many times when an animal or in this case a dog drags his rear end he may have worms. Worms can infect the digestive system of pets like dogs causing pain or irritation when your pet tries to pass them. If worsens take to vet.

Your dog may drag his butt for several reasons. One reason may be that his anal glands are full and therefore causing irritation and itching. The dog also may just have an itch.

Dogs may drag their hindquarters on the ground if they have worms. Check with your veterinarian that your dog has been dewormed. Also make sure there isn't any apparent irritation or other abnormalities on his back side.

it itches. It may be because he has some type of worms. it could be tape worms or ring worms or pin worms. He needs medicine and needs to see the vet.
