My fire alarm sounds off at home everytime I am cooking a pie and the bubbling apples spread up over the rim and hit the bottom of the oven.

High humidity and aerosol cleaners can cause hard wired fire alarms to go off when there is actually no fire.

In the event the obvious isn't happening (a true fire), maybe the alarm is going off because the batteries in the alarm are going dead.

In all likelihood the battery is dying. All fire alarms draw their power from a battery, usually a 9-volt variety. This should be replaced twice a year.
