Why am I reading that I shouldn't spray my jade plant with a water mister?

When you spray with a water mister there is somethng in the chemical make up of the plant that causes mold and fungus to grow on the leaves and dirt.

It's a succulent which means it stores moisture in it's leaves and stems. This makes the plant's very sensitive to water availability. Too much water is just as bad as too little. They seem to prefer their air dry and don't respond well to water on any part of their leaves or stem, so be mindful of how you water.

you don't want to spray your jade plant with a water mister because it already is getting a lot of water. it the plant looks very very dry you can spray it once in awhile but don't go over board with the water. just make sure the soil is moist

Because a water mister will usually water through the leaves the jade goes straight from the root base for everything so by the mister getting the leaves all the time it will cause the plants to develope a fungus and if not caught right away it will kill the plants.
