The best time to introduce the male is at the beginning of the heat cycle and again in the middle of the female heat cycle. However, if possible, it is best to keep the male and female together for the duration of the cycle to ensure that a good breeding has occurred.

When the female dog stops bleeding it is then that you can have the male reproduce. The female can be fertalized 10 to 14 days after the bleeding.
