Drop the swab down the barrel of the clarinet; the weight of the swab and gravity will carry it downward, taking in any moisture from the inside of the clarinet.

It is easiest to clean your clarinet immeditely after use before the spit dries inside it. Break the clarinet into individual pieces and use a small cloth to pull through each piece to asorb the extra moisture. Once the majority of the saliva is removed you can dampen a clean cloth and pull it though each piece as well.

Take out the reed and store it. Wipe down the clarinet with a polishing cloth. Take the mouthpiece off and run your cloth with string through several times.
