The best treatment is to rest it and ice it to reduce swelling. Elevating may help as well. Compression with ACE bandages may offer some protection. Narcotic medications are not recommended; OTC meds like ibuprofen 800mg every 8 hours or naproxen every 12 hours does the trick.

First, clean with cold running water and then disinfect it with 0.5 percent povidone iodine solution. Then apply a thin layer of neo sporin powder or drez powder which will act as a broad spectrum antibiotic coverage which will protect from antibodies. Do not bandage the bruise which will impair healing.

The best treatment for a bruise is to apply an ice pack for swelling and pain. Keeping the leg elevated can help.

You can u se chick weed and take that in pill form from your helath food store. Also canduella oil or a cream of it is good to use on it.
