A Duroc pig is a type of pig, usually used in cross breeding with commercial pigs. They are red in color, large framed, muscular, with drooping ears and an aggressive temper. Many people prefer the taste of Duroc over standard pork.

Durocs originated in New England in the 1800's, one of several red pig strains. They're the basis of most mixed breed commercial strains, very aggressive. They would taste the same.
