Vaginal pimples, like any pimples, are caused by a hypersecretion of oils from the skin. This results in skin pores becoming clogged, leading to an inflammation. This inflammation is what causes the pimple to occur. You can help treat these pimples by keeping the area as clean as possible to expedite healing.

They are much like pimples on your face, usually caused by clogged pores or ingrown hairs. They usually go away on their own. If they are painful, apply a warm compress.

Could be an ingrown hair if you're prone to shaving your genital area or even worse an STD, which would need to be checked by your doctor.

Vaginal pimples are commonly due to infection of the skin around a pubic hair or from herpes virus infection. In both cases, the pimples are painful.

The same things that cause them anywhere else: oil and skin cell buildup, hormonal changes, and ingrown hairs. If you think they're more than just pimples, see a doctor.
