Annulments declare a marriage null and void. It is retroactive, unlike divorce - a divorce dissolves an existing marriage, but an annulment declares that the marriage was invalid from the beginning. If someone has been married previously, they must get an annulment before marrying in the Catholic Church.

I don't believe in annulment. You were married and it didn't work out and its over, end it. Call an attorney and see what steps you should take.
