The first sign of appendicitis is acute pain in the right upper to middle quadrant of the abdomen. There may also be a fever. Sometimes this is also accompanied by nausea.

Appendix symptoms can come on slowly or suddenly. The symptoms may come and go or be constant. One symptom is pain in the lower abdomen on the right side. You may have a fever and nausea and vomiting. If the symptoms last or are severe see your doctor. An appendix inflammation can be quite serious.
