Basically, you conduct the deceased's final business, which includes making funeral arrangements, working out the details of burial/cremation, working with a lawyer to follow the will's stipulations, controlling assets until the estate is out of probate, closing bank and other accounts, filing life insurance claims, distributing assets, sending necessary death notifications, and canceling policies and subscriptions.
