Should I tell an employer about a second job?

I have a second job.

That depends on whether or not your 2nd job could interfere with your primary job's work schedule or is in any way a conflict of interest. In these cases, then absolutely YES, tell your first employer. Your company may also require reporting any moonlighting activities - refer to your empoyee handboook. Otherwise, it's up to you.

Some jobs you have to (especially if there is a conflict of interest). I would speak to a Human Resources employee in your company, and get their opinion of whether you should.
