Should I take prednisone for a rash?

I wouldn't recommend using prednisone to treat a rash. I know of a great number of instances where prednisone itself causes a new rash to form on the person who used it. Your best bet is to see your doctor and follow the instructions he or she gives you to treat it.

Prednisone is a powerful steroid which can only be prescribed by a physician. You must see a doctor. He or she will inform you what proper action to take.

I would say it could be appropriate as it is prescribed for allergy symptoms. The only way to know is to have your doctor diagnose your rash and let him be the judge.
