Is it okay to use ionic air cleaners in a furnace?

It is okay to use them.However, they do have drawbacks.Using ionic air cleaners in the furnace will be a waste of money.They use electricity, and they can be noisy.It will only force particles from the air within two or three feet from the vent. This poses a risk of developing into an allergy or into a serious respiratory illness.

It is okay to use them. However, they do have drawbacks. They use electricity, and they can be noisy. There are better alternatives such as a good 3-M allergen filter.

It is a good idea to use ionic air cleaners if you have them but they should only be used while the power and heat source is off.
