The scorebook in softball is the same as in baseball. The positions are the same in both games and the only thing that is different is the size of the field and the balls and bats used. Scoring for both games is the same and is universal in how the games are scored

The main differences between a scorebook in softball and baseball are: number of outfielders, number of innings per game, number of strikes per out and number of balls per walk.

In many ways, they are identical, but there are a few subtle differences. For one, a softball scorebooks roster page allows for an extra player per team to be recorded.
