How is a "one touch" can opener different from a regular one?

A "one touch" can opener is battery operated. Place opener on top of can and it opens the can without much help. Where as a regular can opener is manual and requires the use of both hands. One to hold the can opener and the other to crank the opener.

You don't have to continually twist the knob with a one touch can opener. It is basically a portable version of the old electric can openers from the 80's. Another difference is that it is rather expensive for a can opener and has more potential to break than a potential can opener.

It does it all off of battery power. It also opens the can a little differently. It cutes the top of the can totally off not into the can top.
