Prepare a pan with nonstick spray. Combine sugar and water over medium-high heat. Boil, stirring constantly. Allow the mixture to boil for one minute, stir in condensed milk, then remove from heat for 15 minutes. Add the chocolate and stir to melt. Mix. Add nuts, pour in pan.

Fudge contains sugar, milk, chocolate, and butter. You heat them to 240F; then you beat the mixture while it is cooling for a creamy and smooth consistency.

Mix sugar, milk and butter together in 4-to-1-to-.5 ratios, respectively. Heat the fudge to 240 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the mixture is soft add ingredients such as chocolate, nuts or dried fruit. Lay the mixture on a baking pan and let it cool. Once hard, cut it into slices and serve.

It is very important when making fudge that you heat the ingredients to the right temperature, which is between 235 - 240 degrees on a candy termometer. If you do not have a candy thermometer use the cooking method, softball stage, which means, when dropped into cold water it will form a soft, flexible ball and flatten when taken out.

I believe you heat a good amount of chocolate, milk, butter and sugar until it is all mixed together, and then you put it in the fridge.

An easy way to make fudge is to heat up a can of sweetened condensed milk, and add about two cups of chocolate chips. Melt and chill.
