Dissolve: ¾ ounce yeast in ¼ cup warm water warm ½quart milk add 3c flour to yeast and warm milk, let rise for ½hour. combine: ½ quart warm milk ¼ lb. Butter 2 tablespoons shortening ½cup sugar 2tablespoons whiskey Mix with 6 eggs, pinch of salt, 9 cups flour and mix. Rise until doubled, form 2oz balls. Rise for about ½ hour. Fry balls in 350F oil.

Paczki is fried like any yeast donut. After the dough rises, punch it down and form the paczi. When the paczi hass doubled in size, deep fry it at 375.

Paczki is dough that is similar to donut dough and can be cooked the same way: in a deep pan or skillet that is filled with hot oil.

Paczki is typically deep fried in lard. Once they are partially cool, my family rolls them in a plate of powdered sugar. You don't want to wait for them to cool all the way, as you want the sugar to melt a bit.
