How can I go about housebreaking an older corgi?

It really doesn't matter the age of the dog it depends on the conditions and training of the dog if it was always kpt in a kennel and it wasn't kept clean you may never house break it if it came from a clean environment you just need to keep working with it until the dog figures it out.

You can housebreak an adult dog by doing crate training. Also, dogs have a schedule. They tend to "go" at pretty consistent time after having food or water.

Establishing a daily schedule of feeding and outing will help a lot. Also, look into crate training to prevent messes. Positive reinforcement will work better than negative.

Do the same things you would do to house train a puppy. Being that they are older they are more likely to understand quicker. Make sure they know when they have been naughty. Rubbing their nose in an accidents they have had is fine.
