Your side by side may leak due to dirt and dust clogged up at the bottom of your vent where the motor is.

Most likely it is leaking due to the drain in the back under the storage drawer being clogged up. Really you can taje a pressure steamer and clean it out so it can drain through and you should be fine.

You should call your local appliance repair shops and discuss the leakage of your refrigerator. You should also find out the different prices that each place will charge for repairs.

When ice melts as a result of increased temperature, your refrigerator will leak. It may be that the fridge is just old and needs to be replaced -- seals do wear out. A refrigerator repair expert could give you a more precise explanation.
