I do believe that they do emissions testing in most states now. There are a few hold outs though. You can call the Washington Department of Motor Vehicles and ask them exactly what testing they do and what is needed to pass. You can also call the testing facility for the same info.

They do emissions testing in Washington in order to fight pollution. Indeed,most of the air pollution in Washington is due to motor vehicles.
