Have the car diagnosed to figure out the reason it failed. Fit it and try to have it tested again.

If your car can't pass that, it is surely due to a malfunctioning in the engine. It seems to be a problem from the cylinders that they are overused and you need to change the pistons rings to fix it. It would be the better way to pass the emissions test but surely you it is not the only reason.

The first thing you should do is take it to another automotive service center for a second opinion. If the second place confirms you have emission problems your only choices are to have it repaired, or sell/scrap the vehicle.

Well it would be helpful if I knew why exactly it failed. If it had to high of a level of pollutant you need to tune up the engine. This means replacing thing like spark plugs and filter to get the engine running cleaner. Also make sure all the emission equipment is clean and working properly.
