Can a dog get gingivitis?

Gingivitis is very common in dogs, but it can be easily prevented with weekly brushing with doggy toothpaste or rinse with pet mouthwash. If your dog has bad breath, red/inflamed gums and tartar, then you should have your veterinarian perform a dental to clean up his teeth.

I have never heard of it usually if something in a dogs mouth doesn't look right then there is something either wrong with the diet or you need vet care for it,
