No. According to me, running causes more soreness than swimming. This is probably because running requires a lot of muscle activity against external factors like gravity. Whereas , water moulds around the body relaxing the muscles. Swimming usually causes slight soreness only in the upper limb muscles but running causes full body soreness.

Both is these exercises will get you sore. Being sore is a good thing! just make sure you are getting adequate protein to heal and build up your muscles. Both of these exercises will challenge your muscles depending on how often you do them, in my opinion do both of them!

Yes, you are less likely to be sore after exercise when you swim. The resistance provided by water allows you to not put much pressure on your muscles and joints when swimming. If you run, you will place a lot of pressure on the muscles and joints in your legs, and also your arms when you swing them while running.

Yes. Since swimming is far lower-impact than running, less stress will be put on your joints. Your muscles may still ache, but your feet, ankles, knees, hips, etc. will feel much better.
