No, most thyroid medications will not effect you immediately. You will begin to notice changes once your body has had a chance to become acclimated to the medication. Depending on the type of medication, it can take as little as 2 to 3 weeks or as much as 6 weeks for this to happen.

The effects of thyroid medication should be subtle. You should notice improvement in a week or so and then check back in with your doctor as instructed.

The medication will take some time to build up on you system, and you will begin to notice changes in a few days and sometimes it takes a few weeks. It will depend on many factors specific to you.

You should begin to notice some mild changes within a couple of days. More drastic changes like weight loss or gain will take a few weeks for results.
