Will shaving my head get rid of dandruff?

Shaving will not necessarily get rid of the dandruff. Dandruff has nothing to do with dry scalp or hair length. You may want to try using a medicated shampoo. Some are very inexpensive and can be bought at most stores by the regular shampoos. If this doesn't work, you might need a prescription from a doctor.

No. Dandruff is caused by an out of control fungal infection, and shaving your head won't help. Look for a shampoo with "ketoconanzole". It is stronger.

Shaving your head probably won't solve the problem as the dandruff is from your scalp, not your hair. Use a prescription strngth dandruff shampoo if over the counter doesn't work.

I had a dandruff problem and i shaved my head bald.. and i used head and shoulders dandruff shampoo on my bald head and the dandruff problem went away! so yes go and shave your head and get rid of that dandruff problem of yours
