Lyrica is a common prescription for Shingles and Diabetic nerve pain. It is not approved for other types of nerve pain. If you qualify for the drugs use, it may well be of benefit. However, read the Medication guide and prescribing information. This should be a common practice with any new medication as patients differ in responses to the drugs.

Lyrica should never be taken without your doctor prescribing it. Lyrica has side effects which can be life threatening. My suggestion is go to a recommended pain clinic.

Fibromyalgia is a common cause for chronic neck pain. Lyrica or pregabalin has proven to be effective in this condition and also for chronic nerve pain which also be a cause.

Lyrica is useful in relieving chronic pain, but sometimes it works better for some people than others. Try taking the prescription and see if it helps relieve your symptoms - it is definitely worth a try!
