Pine naturally turns yellow over time because it is oil based and also because of environmental factors. You can use an acrylic lacquer which produces a non-yellowing finish.

Lacquer is oil based, or made from oil, so all will eventually yellow. If you want to avoid yellowing, try a "water white" lacquer product or a UV inhibiting product. These will be much slower to yellow.

Yes, it will yellow with time. The lacquer or sealer is what causes this. Keeping the piece out of direct sunlight will decrease and slow the yellowing.

You cannot avoid the yellow color but you can slow down the process. As lacquer is made up of oil, it gradually starts to give that yellow tint. You can slow this down by taking it out of the area where there is direct sunlight. So try to keep it away from direct sunlight and your good.

Pine wood exudes sap even after it is painted or stained. Yellowing is a natural characteristic and over time gives the wood a mellow patina favored by many.

Depending on the lacquer that you have used you may or may not get a yellowing effect. When picking out your lacquer you need to remember that a nitro cellulose lacquer can cause yellowing over time while an acrylic lacquer is less likely to.

It is entirely possible it will yellow over time, especially if it gets direct sunlight. It isn't the wood that yellows but the finish itself.
