No. In fact, cutting fat out of your diet may cause you to gain weight. The most recent studies show the best way to lose weight quickly is the low-carb or no-carb diet. These "ketogenic" diets will cause your body to start burning fat for fuel, and if your calories are low, you will lose weight quickly.

Not exactly. You need to make sure you are also exercising atleast 3 days a week for atleast 30 minutes a session. If you can combine diet and exercise, it will ultimately give you the utmost best results in losing weight. But remember, some fats are good for you, such as omega3's found in seafood.

Weight loss is basically a resource management game. The resource that you want to mange is calories. Basically you want to take in less calories then you want to lose. Cutting fat is good for you but the best step is to cut calories. Idealy you want to cut both.
