The only true way to get rid of fleas on dogs and cats is with a topical medication that is released into the dogs hair follicles throughout the month. Fleas in the carpet are even harder to get rid of, baking soda doesn't do anything.

Baking soda is ineffective in riding a area of fleas, contrary to an old wife's tale. The most effective and long lasting solution would be the application of carbamates, available to homeowners in powder and liquid forms. Please remember to read and follow label instructions.

No it will not. You need to either use flea powder or flea spray or you can do a net search for more information on how to be rid of the pests.

Baking soda will get rid of fleas, but there are far more effective and cheaper solutions, such as diatomaceous earth, which is ground up microscopic seashells and makes them in about the predicament you would be if showered in broken glass.
