Why won't my Windows Media Player burn songs?

This is usually due to a corrupted music file, corrupted Media Player configuration or faulty CD burner. I would recommend attempting to burn using a different app or a different cd burner.

This might be because of any corruption of files or due to some important dll file missing. Try reinstalling the media player, chek your cd/dvd drive whether it is working or not. check whether you have inserted a good cd/dd.

Windows Media Player as the name suggests is a media player which plays media and is not designed to burn songs on to a disc either be it a CD or a DVD. Windows operating system has a built in media burning software which can be used for the purpose.

This could be caused by a few thing. I would look on Microsoft's site or do a search to see if anyone has the same issue as you or can at least tell you what is causing the problem.

The problem is maybe because there is something wrong with your DVD RW drive. I had the same problem a few years ago. First you have to check whether there's anything wrong with the hard drive, if not, then maybe there is something wrong with your Windows Media Player software.

There could be a variety of reasons. First check if you have a CD/DVD writer drive. Then confirm you have a writeable media (CD/DVD) in that drive.
