High levels of filtered light make they happy. The correct light level may determine if they flower or not. Do not overwater or get water on their leaves and use fertilizer recommended for the plant. Place under fluorescent light for a few weeks to help encourage blooms.

Lack of blooming is often the result of poor feeding or watering. Make sure that your African violets receive adequate sunlight and water. If necessary, use a fertilizer supplement intended for garden plants.
