Somehow you are cutting off the circulation to your hand. This happens to me when I am on the phone. Look at what you are doing when it happens.

A common cause of minor limbs falling asleep is poor circulation. Try (yoga)stretching the hand/arm daily, and do hand exercises when you feel it starting. See your Doctor.

One potential cause of hands going numb is carpel tunnel syndrome. A nerve (in the wrist or arm)becomes pinched, causing the "asleep" sensation.

If your hand is falling asleep constantly it may be due to a pinch nerve or carpal tunnel syndrome. Squeezing a small stress ball can help.
