Check to see if the cords on the back are in snug. If they are not then you might need a new monitor :(

This is because you keep your mobile or any signaling device very near to your monitor. if some call comes to your mobile, some of the chips in your monitor are disturbed by the signals and it causes flickering.

If it only flickers several times an hour, it's probably not a refresh rate error. Your flat panel might actually just be dying on you. I would take it to the store you got it at and have it replaced or if it is still under warrenty, you could have it fixed for free.

It's possible that you have the refresh rate set too high on your PC and your monitor doesn't support it. You should also make sure that the cables are properly connected from the monitor to the PC, and note that they could be damaged. Your video card could also be going bad.

First of all check the power supply through the power supplier box to the panel. If you observe the voltage is fluctuating ,get correct power supply.

Silly as it sounds, check the power cord. Sometimes they go out, and make the monitor flicker before they finally bite the dust.

One possible cause for monitor flickering is old age. Another cause is damage. If the flickering is annoying for you, you have to get the monitor fixed or replaced.

the obvious answer is that, of course, it could be broken and you have to get an expensive repair or replacement. it could be a number of other problems though, so check to make sure your cables are plugged in and that the problem isn't coming from the computer itself

I had bought a flat panel monitor before 2 years back. It was working well for 2 years but suddenly I was facing the flickering problem. I don't know the cause for this problem. I hope its due to the age of the monitor. Can any body help me and solve my problem

It just seems very odd to me that it could be the graphics card. The weird behavior seems to depend on when I turn the monitor on, and has nothing to do with what the rest of the computer is doing. The monitor does not show a message that it is going into power-saving mode.
