If there's no cuts or injury on the paw, the chewing can be a sign of allergy (food, chemical, etc). Some dogs may also chew out of boredom.

Dont get stressed your dog is probably just bored. Another thing is maybe he is allergic to something. The best way to find out is to call a vet and see what they say and what can they do to help.
