Branson is a country music version of Vegas' entertainment industry. In 1959, the Baldknobbers Jamboree Show started playing there. Since then, numerous country performers have opened theaters in the city.

Branson, Missouri has a number of shows and musical theaters. It is considered the family friendly version of Vegas or Broadway. There is no gambling, racing, or high adrenaline activities. But for senior citizens or families with young children, the museums, musical shows, and child friendly venues are just right.
