Why does my clock keep resetting on my Chevrolet?

This is generally caused by a faulty connection to the battery or a short in the vehicle's electrical system, and is not generally a problem specifically related to the clock or radio. The clock on most vehicles will reset whenever one of the battery cables is removed. Ensure that your battery terminals are secure and then diagnose other possible shorts.

The clock does't have enough power to function properly due to malfunction in the battery, and that's why it resets. It also can happen because the battery is low so it's not necessarily a technical issue.

The battery or the alternator may be defective. Cut currents from either will cause any timing devices, such as clock to reset with every power outage. My advice is to buy a vehicle other than a Chevy.

One reason that your clock keeps resetting is if your battery dies or maybe is not charging correctly, I would bring the car to a mechanic.

there could be a couple of different reason that your clock is resetting. first of all there could be a short in the wiring causing this problem. you should check the wiring for cracks and bare meteal showing. your clock could also be bad internally. in this case it would just have to be replaced
