Probably because all the back teeth have grown and there is no room for the wisdom teeth so they never come through.

Wisdom teeth are something that humans don't need any more, like a tailbone or appendix. Some humans are evolving past wisdom teeth.

I recently learned that sometimes our wisdom teeth never poke through the skin, because of the way our jaws are. even if you can't see them, they're there!

Genetically they aren't there. My father never had wisdom teeth form and I don't have any wisdom teeth either.

Wisdom teeth are not the appendix. The appendix is needed for storage of probiotics for a healthy immune system. Without the appendix one is far more likely to get sick and is more susceptible to life threatening illnesses. Evolving? Seriously!
