Because the human race has grown to become obsessed with violence and death for the most part. People's attention tend to be drawn more towards events of a violent nature rather than, let's say a bunny eating clover. We are taught at a young age that fighting is cool not unacceptable public displays.

Filming is usually done by school kids, to show their fighting friends how "tough" they are. As for watching, people just have this inbred sense of enjoying fights and battles. It's human nature.

I think there are different motivations. Some people want to get others in trouble. Others have a masochistic streak and enjoy recording the event for posterity and to watch again themselves. Other may like the attention they get when they show their work to others.

People enjoy watching things that are violent in nature, in a sense it's human nature. Why do people watch boxing, mma fighting, or any other violent form of expression. It's human nature, and it's entertaining to those viewing these acts of violence.

It's human nature, but many of the film people are students in high school, street thugs (maybe :) etc... Its mostly people wanting to show off their testosterone and what not.
