Your blood vessels run throughout your body. Its not unusual to occasionally feel them pulsing where you least expect it. It maybe that for some reason your blood pressure has jumped, say from exercise or fright. Other times it may just be that you are noticing something that you normally don't.

You can "feel" your heartbeat in your head because your carotid arteries are just under your ears and the sound is easily conducted there. If you are concerned about this you should consult a doctor. Sometimes blockages can cause unusual sounds called bruits in your carotid arteries.

This is usually a result of high blood pressure. It could be temporary due to stress and anger. It could be more permanent due to high blood pressure form arteriosclerosis. If it continues, see a doctor.
