Impatiens blooms all at once, so when the flowers die off all at once, it seems that your plant has stopped flowering. Give it time, water, and a little mulch.

The flowers may be getting too much water. Be sure to trim the old buds off the plant and trim at least 3 times during the year. I would also suggest asking someone at your local nursery what type of fertilizer and food would work to help the plant bloom and thrive.

Inpatients can bloom late in the year depending on geographic location. Make sure that they receive plenty of sun and water, as well as being maintained at a good temperature. Soil conditioning never hurts, but the number one rule to having a garden is : Have patience.

Impatients flower best in shadey areas. Make sure your plants are not in full sun, this will definitely kill your plants.
