Who was the French president during WW2?

It was the Général De Gaulle, he started off as a leading general, who helped a lot during the war, even though he fled to England, he helped France during the war from there. Near the end of the war, he became prime minister, and eventually President. He is one of the leading figures of WW2.

There were three presidents who held office in France during World War II: Albert LeBrun, Henri Philippe Petain, and Charles de Gaulle.

not counting the occupation government, Charles De Gaul is widely considered to be the rightful ruler of France during world war two, although he spent most of the war in exile.
